The Office of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk (ARC) is recruiting for Supervising Auditor-Appraisers who plan, assign, evaluate and supervise, technical, clerical and/or auditor-appraisal staff engaged in personal property assessments and audits as well as in the maintenance and completion of the annual personal property unsecured assessment roll.  Essential duties may include:
  • Assigning and evaluating work including the appraisal of business property, boats, aircraft, and leased equipment.
  • Explaining property tax rules and regulations to the public as it relates to personal property.
  • Reviewing and approving audit reports, roll corrections, and appeal stipulations.
  • Planning and coordinating training for Auditor-Appraisers, technical, and clerical staff.
  • Organizing the mandatory audit program and coordinating work with other counties in the Cooperative Audit Exchange Program.
  • Overseeing the E-File process.
  • Supervising and completing the annual Property Statement cycle.
  • Representing the Assessor at conferences or meetings.
