Supervising District Appraiser - Appeals Unit

The Office of the Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is seeking a Supervising Appraiser to join the Appeals Unit. This position is responsible for managing the preparation, presentation, and resolution of property assessment appeals before the Assessment Appeals Board. The Supervising Appraiser will lead and assign work to staff, review and prepare real property appraisals for settlements and hearings and provide expertise and expert testimony during appeal proceedings. The Supervising Appraiser is also responsible for ensuring all activities within the unit comply with the California Revenue and Taxation Code, Property Tax Rules, and regulations set forth by the Board of Equalization.
