The Senior Auditor Appraiser acts as lead to a small staff engaged in the audit and appraisal of personal property for tax assessment purposes and assists the Supervising Auditor Appraiser in pre-review and assignment of work and in training and reviewing the work of subordinates. The Senior Auditor-Appraiser also plans and performs a variety of advanced and complex audit appraisal work involving large commercial and industrial entities, and may participate in specialized County-wide and State-wide projects and studies related to audit-appraisal functions.

Minimum QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education, training, and experience likely to provide the required knowledge and abilities for this class as described on the job announcement. Typical ways include:
Either 1. One year of experience performing the duties of an Associate Auditor Appraiser or an Auditor Appraiser (Level II) in Sacramento County service.
Or 2. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with specialization in accounting.
AND
Two years of professional experience within the last ten years in auditing, accounting, or personal property appraisal. At least one year of this experience must have been in auditing business records for the purpose of personal property tax assessment in a California county assessor's office or at the California State Board of Equalization.
